Sukiyaki Western: Django Empty
PostSubject: Sukiyaki Western: Django   Sukiyaki Western: Django EmptyMon Jan 21, 2008 4:07 pm

Oh, man, I'm totally bored today, being home from school and all. Anyway, I was searching for some neat spaghetti westerns to downlo...err...buy.... silent ....when I found this movie. Sukiyaki Western Django. Well, it's a Chinese version of the classic old Django movie (which in turn is about a gunslinger who drags around a coffin with a Gatlin gun hidden in it, and whacks badguys in true spaghetti western style...though of course he's not as good as Clint Eastwood)...

...anyways! It looks really cool. The thought of a Western taking place in China sounds cool, and the video (and main theme!!!) rocks. There's a slew of trailers for it on Youtube, but here's one that looks bloody cool.

Oh, yeah.... This IS a spaghetti western, which basically means people will die at a pretty high rate per second (Clint Eastwood, at his peek I think, was up in about twenty dead badguys per second or so), so...expect it to be violent. affraid All in good fun, though - the action sequences look pretty sweet and not too realistic.

Edit: That was a clip from the movie. Here's a trailer:

Yeah, today I'm up for some Josey Wales with Clint Eastwood. Being as I'm still (cough) sick and all, I can stay home and watch spag westerns with a clean conscience. lol! Unfortunately, there's no snacks at home, though. But, man, do I ever so much long until this one comes up as a torrent or DVD one can buy here in Sweden? It looks really sweet, especially when he shoots the crossbow dart out of the air.

And spag westerns totally rock. Wink

I love the Man with No Name trilogy. And American westerns like "The Outlaw Josie Wales" and "The Unforgiven."

Yeah, me too. I watched Josey Wales for the first time today, and it was a great film. Then I watched another Western, which completely took me by surprise because it was so good, and that was "Dollar for the Dead" with Emilio Estevez, Joaquim de Almeida and some other dawgs. That one was totally cool because they played like old Mexican music during the gunfights, which weren't as quick and precise as they are in Sergio Leone's westerns, but rather very long and outdrawn, so they were more intense than many westerns (Westerns where they shoot from the hip and never miss). It really gave my blood a stirring. Smile

Next spag western up: "Il Mercenario" with Franco Nero. Cool Just as soon as my computer finished downl.....just as soon as it's arrived in my mailbox, that is. Razz
