PostSubject: HEATHER   Wed Apr 15, 2009 2:39 am

Hi my names Heather, and Ive been searching for information to help comfort my son. He is going to be 4yrs old in May and has already shown unusual characteristics. A lot of the characteristics I have read about the "indigo children" apply to myself and my son seems to display similar traits, if not something more. I can deal with ADD and ADHD symptoms commonly associated with his personality type. I learned to deal with those problems myself throughout my life and in school. However, there have been issues with him seeing or sensing things from another world/dimension or wherever and it scares him.

I have spent most of my life actively blocking certain things out. I have seen things, heard things, sensed things were there, and even had dreams where I feel like some of the more menacing of these things were manipulating my dreams to scare me and then some. Ive always felt like I have control over these things for the most part and have never really put much into questioning my hallucinations...until now.

My problem here is how I should go about helping my son cope with similar experiences. Children say the craziest things, they are creative, they mimic things they see on tv...and all this makes it hard to tell what he is making up and what could really be there. But it's hard for me to tell him that there aren't any monsters in the closet, when I know they are really there.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, sorry, we have moved to a different website (posting below) so we haven't noticed your post. Your son is certainly not alone. Many people have these experiences. Some kids are gifted, and modern society doesn't have the understanding to accept kids who are.
