Missing Time Empty
PostSubject: Missing Time   Missing Time EmptyWed Jan 30, 2008 11:29 pm

Is anyone reading this missing any time?
Some may be think that that is an odd question, but it is a question that I have been asking people for almost 24 years. I’m not talking about a couple of minutes here or there. I’m talking about days, weeks, months...years. I asked the question so often at first that people began to question my sanity...truthfully...so did I. But I had to know...am I the only one?

I left home when I was 16 and traveled until I married at 24. In that time I got to see and experience many interesting, and disturbing, things. One thing that was always a constant though (and this is relevant) was my communication with a family member that I was always very close with. Mainly because we looked and acted like twins growing up. We were both born on February 13, 1963 me at 11:05PM, her at 11:09PM. We were born across the hall from each other, to different parents in the same family. For the purpose of what follows we will call her Kim.

She made me promise when I started traveling that I would call her all the time, and that we would always spend time together on our birthday. Either by phone or in person. A promise I always kept until 1982.

February 13, 1982 - Flagstaff Arizona; I had met a girl a few days earlier at a party in Phoenix and we hit it off pretty well. She was a waitress at a bar in Flagstaff and was very sorry that she couldn’t get my birthday off. I told her it was no problem and I would just hang at the bar until she got off work. After a couple of free drinks from my favorite waitress, I noticed it was time to call Kim. After Kim and I talked for awhile I decided I needed a little air.

There was a light snow falling, (yes it snows in Flagstaff Arizona), but I didn’t mind. I walked toward the woods and I spotted a campfire a ways off and decided to check it out. I had about four hours to kill before my date got off of work.

When I got to the fire I found a few people hanging out and partying, and they asked me to join them. I sat cross-legged by the fire pit, cracked a beer and some girl spilt a red drink on me (I remember being pissed because my jacket was white and blue, and now it was going to be pink and blue)...a few minutes later I blacked out. It is about the only way I can describe it. When I opened my eyes I was sitting cross-legged in Kims back yard...Kim lives in Massachusetts...I was shocked, and then I blacked out. When I opened my eyes again I was still sitting in the same position by the fire pit, but there was no fire and everyone was gone. I checked my wallet and I still had my money, so I checked my watch. I had fifteen minutes to get to the bar.

When I got to the bar I knew something was wrong, the place looked different. I looked around for my girlfriend and when I didn’t see her I went to ask the bar tender. It wasn’t the same bar tender as before and he told me he had never heard of the girl I was looking for. I told him he was nuts because I dropped her off myself, and that I wanted to see the other guy that was working earlier. He then told me that he was the only one working that night, or any other night since he started working there six months earlier.

I ordered a drink. It had to be a birthday prank...and a nice one at that. Then I noticed the calendar beside the bar...it was on February 1984. I called Kim.

Kim flipped out when she heard my voice, and before I could say anything about what was going on she asked me why the hell I hadn’t called in 2 years. Where the hell have I been, and to top it all off why did I show up in her backyard the year before, only to disappear before she could get outside.

I looked at the phone, then the calendar, and then my watch. My mind and watch said it was February 13, 1982. The calendar and Kim said it was 1984. The red drink that the girl had spilt on the white of my jacket was still wet.

A strange story...one that is possibly hard to believe...and some of you won’t. I got over worrying about that years ago.

I’m just looking for some answer...some reason why 2 years left me in 4 hours.

Kims looking for answers too...She lost February 13, 1996 - February 13, 1997.

Has something similar to any of this happened to any of you, or to someone you know...and if so...do you know why.

I’m open to thoughts on it as well.

Wow, now that is a strange story! I don't even think people with multiple personalities lose that much time. Shocked I have no clue what to tell you. Perhaps someone else will have some insight.

Missing Time Empty
PostSubject: Re: Missing Time   Missing Time EmptyThu Jan 31, 2008 8:14 pm

Wow that is an amazing story! You could write a book! I'm afraid to ask but, what happened to your marriage due to your disappearance?

Ok, the first time I read anything about missing long periods of time was in fairy tales, and I don't mean the fables but the real tales. I know I must sound crazy now talking about fairies, but for thousands of years people from across the world had claimed to see them. And some have even claimed to have been abducted by them. I have a friend who claims she can see them, and refers to them as nature spirits (I believe some may be watching over Night.) They would lure or abduct people sometimes and take them to fairyland; a metaphysical plane where you sort of forget the physical one, just like how when you return here you forget being there (I am not saying this is true for sure, just that many people have claimed to have experienced it.) And fairies by the way are not always the beautiful happy-go-lucky sprites as depicted in Victorian artworks and later by Disney. More often they're more mysterious and mischievous-like, and sometimes they're rather devilish. As the belief goes, while in fairyland if a person stays a short time (like two days) he will lose a long time (like two years), however if he stays a long time (like several months) he may return within a couple days. There have been numerous reports of this experience through history, and as it sounds you were in nature at the time this seems possible in your case. You may have passed out, and they left or stepped away, and you were taken. You may have had an experience you can no longer recall, but if you had it should be remembered in the unconscious self. I'm not sure if hypnosis could recall it or not, if that was the case. The most famous is example of fairy aduction is the story of Bridget Cleary. Here is a link.

And obviously there is the possibility that you were abducted by aliens. This might be harder to accept, largely as we've been brainwashed all our lives to fear aliens. If your memory of it is erased then it is doubtful that it would have been a peaceful experience (by positive aliens), and rather an abduction performed by the Zeta Greys or possibly the secret military faction which abducts people and sometimes represses the memory with the suggestion of an alien abduction, doubly covering their ass. There are usually some obvious signs to denote this. Is there a scar or/and a piece of metal (actually a futuristic microchip) in the back of your neck or behind an ear? Have you developed any sort of cancer or radiation-related problems? Have you become more static-charged (do you get static shocks more often?) Do you reel something unsettling deep inside when you see or hear about alien abduction, almost as if it's reflecting an internal truth? Have you had an increase of psychic or paranormal ability or connection since the experience? A boost in sensitivity, awareness? If the answer is no to all of these questions than this may not be the case. Still, I wouldn't rule it out entirely. Here is a site where people have posted about their own time loss experiences in relation to alien abduction. This site outlines 58 possible signs of alien abduction, and "missing time" is number 1 on the list.

This may sound even spookier, but there is a third paranormal possibility. Some people believe that it is possible to travel through time by opening a portal through your own will power. Psychic David Wilcock claims to have had connections to the black ops, and knew about how they experimented with time travel. They had a chair or platform taken from an alien spacecraft, and sitting upon it a psychic’s powers were increased and they could essentially open a time portal and pass through. A entire vessel was able to travel through time in this way, sometimes with tragic defects. But to use one's will power without this supporting technology, I'm not sure. But anything's possible.

Beyond these possibilities we fall into the 'practical' possibilities. You might have lost your memory, similar to the movie "The Majestic", where you lived out another life not knowing who you used to be. And then you came to and remembered, but forgot the second life you had lived. But I know, that's stretching it pretty far. You awoke in the same place where you blacked out didn't you? So that seems unlikely. There are medical reasons to explain memory loss, although there remains the mystery of where you were for two years.

Is it impossible to track down the people you were with at the time and ask them what happened? They must know something. It is possible that they lured you out there, and that girl at the bar you mentioned could have been the bait. They could have drugged your drink and that's why you blacked out. You awoke in the same spot with no memory of what happened, and the time loss could be contributed to medical reasons. So they're in the clear. There can only be two possible reasons why they would abduct you -- whoever did. Either for scientific or ritualistic reasons. In other words, either to experiment on you or to use you as a sort of conduit or sacrifice in some way. Had you any psychic or perception talents? Could they have learned about who you were before you met them? I feel there's a puzzle here waiting to be solved.

[quote="Blue Water"]Wow that is an amazing story! You could write a book! I'm afraid to ask but, what happened to your marriage due to your disappearance?

I’m not even going to cite yours Blue...WOW! Shocked

The incident occurred on my 19th birthday, and came to an end on 21st. I didn’t marry until I was 24. By then I was less intense about my search for answers.

I actually have considered writing a book called ‘Tails from the road’, spanning those 8 years. There is at least 2 other events that would fit this site. Though not as extreme as this...well at least not to me.

Yes Fairies have softened quite a bit over the centuries, as with many of the mythical creatures. A slip off of this plain or dimension has been considered, and again not discounted. What weighs in most on that for me is Kim. She thought I was dead because she didn’t feel right while this was happening, she felt like part of her was missing. The only time that changed was when I was in her yard in 1983, and then 15 minutes before I called her in 1984. Hypnosis has been tried and failed. I am going to look at that piece on Bridget Cleary, thanks.

Alien abduction has always been on the for-front of this mystery for me. That is why I originally said I couldn’t decide where this story fit on the site. Yet there is no definitive prof of an abduction, and I have no memory of one. I would be psyched! if that was the case, for whatever reason they had. I am a realist when it comes to aliens...as odd as some people my think it to here those words put together in the same sentence Smile I would expect some experiments and not necessarily pleasant ones, but who am I to put down someone furthering their research! As for signs, many in my family have been sensitive to the psychic or paranormal, normally toward the dead though. As for sensitivity and awareness, there was a rise in those yes. I became a sort of danger detector and radar detector. Everyone wanted me in there car when they were flying down the high way. I could feel a cop from 2 miles away. Now...not so much. And I will check out those sites you mention.

Time travel has been considered as I just posted to Night. One problem with that, as you point out, is what is the catalyst, or the means of focus for the mental energy that I imagine would be required.

As for simple memory loss, I ruled that out on February 13, 1984, when I looked at my watch and the red drink, still wet, on my jacket.

As for tracking down the people I was with at the time, I didn’t know anyone at the fire and didn’t really have enough time to get a lasting image of anyone there. I was never able to find the Girl I was seeing either. I suppose a set up is possible. But any talent I have is minor and not worth that trouble. Unless you consider the fact that I don’t die easy a talent. I have been shot twice, stabbed 8, gone through windshields 3, 4 serious motorcycle accidents, a droop from a 20 foot wall, lost consciousness 2 under water (no tanks), hit by cars 2 (pedestrian) hit by cars 5 (in vehicle), a serious skying accident that doctors said I should not have walked after and a fall from a third story balcony. And Yes, I keep count.

Ye there is a Mystery I think.

Night I will get to yours tomorrow, I promise Sleep

Wow. That is ... paranormal to say the least. When and how did this all happen?

As for the missing time, UFO abduction still seems the most likely.

For the most part during that part of my life, very few people ever heard from me. So it wasn’t unusual for me to be out of peoples lives for two or three years. If someone wanted to know what I was doing they would ask Kim. So when Kim tried to tell everyone that I was missing, most laughed it off and said I was probably in some temple ruins in South America again, or some such foolishness. So no one looked.

My wife believes what happened, as does much of the family since it happened to Kim. But there are those who don’t believe and that is all well and good. Some believe I shifted to the spirit world and back, mostly because it is something they can wrap their mind around easily. But who knows.

I did have a job, a car, and an apartment. Never went back to the job and someone was living in the apartment. As for the car, it was a piece of junk anyway. I also figured it was towed and if it still existed in some impound yard I didn’t want to get wacked with 2 years of fees.

I have had a battery of medical and psychological tests, and all came back normal. The only one I haven’t had is an MRI. Can’t do it....Tried many, many times...Ain’t happening. Even got as far as getting into the dam machine, but as soon as it fired up I was out. Enclosed space don’t bother me nor does tech...can’t explain it.

I probably will post on other experience...after I get over the fact that I posted this one! Shocked

As for when and how that all happened, most was during my traveling years. As for how...well I was always considered a little crazy growing up, just do to the fact there wasn’t a whole hell of a lot I was afraid of. If someone said that something, someplace, or someone was too dangerous, I was there to find out why and to what extent. Never had the wish to die, only the drive to put myself in the position of the possibility! Very Happy And as we all know...no matter how good of a person you are, or that others think you are, there are those who aren’t going to like you. Especially if you see things that they didn’t want anyone to. Which had happened on a few occasions. Making a few of the incidents...non accidental.

I know at a quick glance at that list, and those are only the ones that I shouldn’t have survived, it may look a little like I’m the guy from the movie unbreakable. Far from it. I have broken most of the major bones in my body at least once, some more than once, and more than a few scars.

Aliens have not been discounted.

I play it fairly safe these days. Father of three, work all day and most of the night. Not much room for adventuring. Plus, I don't heal as quickly as I used to. Age I guess Wink Some day I may discover the truth, but more than likely not. No

On the Alien abduction thing, I was thinking...What if most abductions are handled
in orbit, or on the surface in a cloaked ship. Then there would be no time dilation factor. But...if the ship had to leave for a given amount of time, and say had to go to a faster than light speed, might there not be a time dilation factor thrown in? Assuming of course that Einstein’s theory holds any weight to begin with.

I can just here the discussion on the bridge of the ship now;

First Officer: Captain, your wife needs you to run over and get a plasma core while were in the neighborhood. And she said you better do it now before you forget, like the last time.

Captain: Oh come on...We just picked up a human for testing, and we can’t just go running off...besides...it was my turn to work the probe!

First Officer: You still can sir, and don’t worry, it’s a short trip...maybe throw this guys life off for a year or two max. Besides we picked him up in a dam forest...who’s going to notice!

Captain: True...set a corse...engage at will. Smile

Hmmm, in a way the space ship idea doesn't fit. You appeared in the past didn't you before appearing two years in the future? Sounds like you were time travelling on your own somehow. Maybe you slid back into a timeless plane, if that's possible. I guess it's possible that there may be no answer that we could ever find. Still, I can't help but feel there must be something.

If I were you I'd be curious to return to the place where this all happened and investigate the area, the people, the history, and any folks tales of fairies or disapearances.

No, if you reread what I wrote, I never went into the past. It was a linear progression. Start 1982 Flagstaff, jump...1983 Massachusetts, Jump...1984 Flagstaff. I could see a person focusing a jump to the past using a specific point or event as a focus, but not forward...no definitive and absolute reference point.

The thought to return had occurred to me, but....
